Location. The Hotel Budapest is a modern cylindrical building which, at 18 storeys high, towers above the Buda district, and boasts sweeping views of the city and old town on one side and Buda Hill on the other. The nearest airport is Budapest Ferihegy (BUD) 28 kilometres away, around 20 minutes by car. Hotel Features. Guests enter the large, contemporary lobby of the Hotel Budapest with its polished floors, leather seating, and wooden tables topped with lamps. After a day wandering the cobbled streets of the old town and the long boulevards of Pest, guests can unwind and relax sore muscles in the hotel's complimentary sauna. Hotel Budapest has four meeting rooms for up to 250 people. Secure parking (surcharge) is available on site and there is wireless Internet access (surcharge) in the hotel's public areas.
The Restaurant Budapest specialises in Hungarian and international dishes; during the warmer months lunch and dinner are served on the terrace, and prepared in Hungarian style outdoor grills. A variety of traditional Hungarian and Austrian cakes are served in the informal coffee house, which is open until midnight. Bicycles are available to rent from the hotel.
Guestrooms. The hotel's 289 guestrooms are spread across 15 floors of this cylindrical 18 storey hotel. All rooms are decorated in light colours with modern pine furnishings and seating by the windows with views towards the old town and city centre, or across Budapest's hills and suburbs. Amenities include satellite TV, minibars, and high speed Internet connections (surcharge). Tiled bathrooms come with shower/tub combinations, hair dryers, and heated towel rails.
Expert Tip. The Ruszwurm is the oldest pastry café in the city and enjoys a great location in the old town near the Fishermen's Bastion. The signature Ruszwurm Torte is served alongside an extensive range of coffees and teas, though visitors should go early to secure a table.

Driving Directions
Taxis are available from outside arrivals, fares should cost around 5,500 HUF though some drivers try to charge more inflated prices. A cheaper alternative is the airport minibus shuttle which runs directly to city hotels; tickets are available in arrivals.
Driving directions. Follow the airport highway into Budapest and then the signs for the centre. Head for Margaret Bridge, cross the Danube, and then continue on Magrit to Szilagyi Erzsebet Fasor where the hotel is on the right.
