The Holiday Beach Budapest Wellness Centre & Conference Hotel is a modern complex situated on the banks of the River Danube's 'Roman Bank,' one kilometre from Budapest's Museum of Fine Arts and Vigo Ter Square. This three floor boat shaped hotel features 68 air conditioned guestrooms, all with simple modern decor in white and dark wood furnishings with balconies. Guestrooms include work desks with Internet connections, cable television, minibars, direct dial phones, safes, and bathrooms with bathrobes. The hotel's Danube Cafe is a relaxed café lounge overlooking the river and serving a varied menu featuring Hungarian and international specialities. Local and international dishes are also on offer at the modern Albatross Restaurant, while grilled specialties are served al fresco on a terrace overlooking the swimming pool, gardens and river at the Grill Terrace Restaurant. In the Holiday Beach Wellness Club there is a fitness centre with cardio, weights and aerobics rooms and expert instructors. A beauty farm offers a range of massage aesthetic treatments and for maximum relaxation there are mixed and separate sex saunas, an infrasauna, a heated fun bath and jetted tubs and a 10 x 25 meter pool. The hotel also has tennis courts and its own river port. Four function rooms provide modern facilities for conferences or banquets of up to 100 persons. Wireless Internet access is available to guests with their own laptops, and parking is available for a surcharge. Local attractions include the Hungarian House of Photography, the ancient Amphitheatre and the Castle Grotto, all one kilometre away. Driving Directions
An airport bus links the city centre ErzsTbet Square bus station with the airport every 30 minutes. A pre pay local bus 93 runs from the airport to the underground metro terminus, K÷bßnya Kispest although passengers may wish to alight at Deßk tTr where the three underground lines meet. The nearest Metro Station is Arpad Hfd, eight kilometres away. From there by bus 106 runs to Florißn tTr and from there 14 stops by bus 34 to "Benzink·t." Taxis are available from the airport at the taxi stand, but their fares can be unregulated; in case of reservation of the taxi by the hotel the price is HUF 6500. (EUR 26. ) passengers should negotiate a fare before leaving the airport. Driving directions: From the airport head for Budapest, turn right onto Hungaria, continue until Arpad Bridge, cross it and turn right northwards, follow the Szentendrei Road, go under a tall bridge and turn right, continuing until Piroska, where the hotel is located. Budapest has an inexpensive and efficient public transport system with easy links between the metro, HEV trains, buses, trams and trolleybuses. Tickets can be bought from metro stations, kiosks and newsstands.
